In Sheffield, Dementia Action Alliance is working with Upperthorpe Library, Woodseats Library and Northern General Hospital to run regular groups.

Reading Friends in Sheffield includes a Pakistani men’s reading group and a group for Yemeni women. The group at Upperthorpe Library is for people with early onset dementia. Small group sessions take place at Woodseats Libary, and a reminisence group is held every week at the Northern General Hospital.

One project participant said that she now reads weekly for enjoyment, and takes part in several social activities every month.
