Manchester Libraries are aware that a lot of residents could be feeling isolated and lonely at the moment. That is why we are so proud to be part of the Reading Friends project. The partnership with The Reading Agency has allowed us to reach out to organisations and community groups across Manchester and support people of all ages who may be suffering during this latest lockdown.

It has been incredible how many groups have been keen to work with us and be part of the Reading Friends project. We are currently setting up Reading Friends groups with residents that use our housebound library service, two community groups, members of the adult education service, two young people’s groups and a virtual book club.
