Some key points for this year:

• Reading Friends will be free for library authorities to run (no contribution cost to The Reading Agency).
• Access to resources will be given or renewed once the project agreement has been completed.
• You can use any model of Reading Friends – over the phone, virtual, or in person.
• You can have volunteers or staff running or supporting sessions, we call this role a Reading Befriender or befriender.
• We encourage work with diverse communities and new audiences. 
• We particularly want to reach people who are facing inequalities due to loneliness, social isolation and cost of living crisis.
• These could be people living with mental or physical support needs or disabilities like dementia or sight loss, older people, carers, children or young people, bereaved people, LGBTQ+ communities.
• Evaluation activities take place in June 2025 - our evaluation month. We encourage collecting numbers on a monthly basis and encourage the completion of surveys and an Activity Feedback Form in June.
• Three parts of the evaluation 1. 'Participation Monitoring Form' (reach) 2. 'Impact surveys' (impact) 3. 'Activity Feedback Form' (activities).
