Reading Friends is a brilliant programme that brings people together, using reading to spark conversations and get everyone chatting. We work in partnership with local organisations to set up projects around the country and help us to reach volunteers and participants who could benefit from joining Reading Friends activities.

We will provide all the materials you need to start a Reading Friends project. From toolkits to publicity materials and advice, we’ll be with you every step of the way.

Getting everyone ready

Reading Friends has built on the experiences of our current projects to develop our programme. We know that our volunteers are vital to the programme, so we’ve put together training and resources to make sure you can offer them the right support.

Making an impact

We’re evaluating our programme to show the impact it has on everyone involved. We’re delighted to say that 100% of our current volunteers want to continue with us and would recommend Reading Friends to others. And 94% of our partipants rated their experience of the programme as either ‘good’ or ‘excellent’.
